Summer is almost upon us, and the cold, bleak sunshine and force nine gale reminds us it’s almost time to pack our bags and go abroad to enjoy some proper summer weather on a proper beach. There is, however, nothing worse than missing the free ice cream at 5 o’clock by the pool because you haven’t got a watch on, so we’ve investigated three waterproof alternatives to liven up your holiday whilst you read old Danielle Steele novels and turn an unfortunate shade of puce.
